一、考試前
1. procrastinate 拖延
大部分的人都喜歡拖拖拉拉，事情都到最後一刻才開始做，所以常常壓死線(deadline)，
這樣的習慣相當不好唷！而拖延的英文是procrastinate，拖延的人就叫procrastinator喔！
【例句】
Jim often procrastinates, so he has lots of books to read before the exam.
Jim常常拖延，所以他在考試前還有很多書要讀。
2. cram 死記硬背
cram有填鴨式教育、死記硬背的意思。而補習班的英文是cram school，
可以理解成因為補習班是利用填鴨式教育的方式讓學生有好成績，所以就叫cram school！
【例句】
Lisa crammed for her history exam.
Lisa為了應付歷史考試而臨時抱佛腳。
3. burn the midnight oil 熬夜
=pull an all-nighter
=stay up late
burn the midnight oil 字面翻就是「燃燒午夜的油」，也就是挑燈夜戰、熬夜的意思喔！
【例句】
In order to finish the painting, Jessie burned the midnight oil last night.
為了完成畫作，Jessie昨晚熬夜了。
二、考試時
1. test 考試
test 是最廣泛的考試說法，無論是大考或是小考都可以用test喔！
以下就教大家如何分辨各種考試的英文單字！

examination 大考 (期中考、期末考、入學考試等等)

2. cheat 作弊
cheat就是作弊。作弊是相當不可取的行為，大家千萬不要做喔～
【例句】
Do not cheat on the test. Or you will get a zero.
考試時不要作弊，不然你會拿零分。
3. double-check 再確認、再檢查
寫完題目都要檢查，而仔細檢查、再確認的英文就是double-check喔！
【例句】
Before handing out the test paper, please double-check your answers.
繳交考卷之前，請再次檢查你的答案。
三、考完試
1. pass with flying colors 考到好成績
=kill an exam
flying 是飛，帶有一種愉悅的感覺，所以pass with flying colors就是考到好成績喔！
和它意思相近的是kill the exam。kill是殺的意思，殺了一個考試，所以就是考得很好的意思喔！
【例句】
Alex passes the English exam with flying colors.
Alex在英文考試中得到好成績。
2. pass by the skin of sb’s teeth 低空飛過
pass by the skin of my teeth 字面的意思是「只過了牙齒的表面」，意思就是低空飛過喔！
【例句】
Tiffany was good at math. Unfortunately, she passed the math test by the skin of her teeth this time.
Tiffany的數學很好。不幸的是，她這次的數學考試只有低空飛過。
3. flunk 被當、不及格
=fail
【例句】
Jeffery seldom attended the class, so he flunked the course.
Jeffery很少出現在課堂中，所以他那堂課被當了。
