【聽歌學英文】Damien Rice---Amie
來自愛爾蘭(Ireland)的歌手Damien Rice有著溫柔的嗓音，
常常在咖啡店或書店都能聽到店家播放他的歌曲，不管是自己在家讀書或是作為睡前音樂也都很適合。
他發行第一張專輯《O》就備受好評！

然而今天小編要介紹的則是另外一首歌這首 艾咪(Amie)

○Nothing unusual, nothing strange
Close to nothing at all
沒什麼不尋常，沒什麼怪事，一成不變的生活。
歌詞常常會為了配合旋律而省略到一些字，而這句則省略了”there is”
原本應該是There is nothing unusual and nothing strange.”
○The same old scenario, the same old rain
And there's no explosions here
老掉牙的情節，熟悉的雨，沒有什麼爆點。

在一成不變的生活中，發生了一些不尋常、奇怪的事
Then是「然後」的意思
○I saw a spaceship fly by your window

我看見太空船，飛過你的窗，你看見它消失了沒？
-fly by (ph.)飛過
-disappear (v.)消失

在這邊小編想教大家分辨“at the end”還有“in the end”的用法
-"at the end"後面一定要加 of something ，有「什麼的最後」的意思。像是 "at the end of the centry," "at the end of the movie"
-"in the end"後面則不需要加東西，是「最後」的意思。可以直接說 “In the end, they don't go back to the church.”
所以歌詞這邊其實是省略了“at”，因為他想表達的是「在世紀末的時候」

沒什麼不尋常，沒什麼變化，只有時光流逝。
-"a little"是「一些些」、「一點點」的意思，後面要加的是不可數的名詞
-"a few"也是「一些些」、「一點點」的意思，和”few“不同的是"few"通常有負面的意思
像是 ”I have a few friends.“ 是「我有一些朋友」的意思，
"I have few friends."則是「我只有一些朋友」
下面幾段就比較直白了，還有也重複了前面所出現過的歌詞
