【旅遊英文】學會這些句子，搭乘大眾運輸工具不煩惱！

繼上次E編介紹過"搭計程車"的相關英文用法，這次要廣泛介紹搭乘大眾運輸會使用到的英文喔。

首先，最常見的莫過於地鐵了，地鐵的說法有很多種，「subway, metro, underground」三種都是喔!
subway 是美式用法的地鐵，但是在英式用法則是指地下道。
metro 是法式用法，可見於台北捷運的標誌就用到"metro"
underground 則是英式用法，也可以利用"underground railroad"，口語上會使用tube。
在地鐵內就會遇到需要買票的情況，最簡單的用語就是
「How much is the ticket to London ?」
到倫敦的票價是多少呢?
那如果要問有沒有兒童優待票呢?
「Is there a reduced fare for children?」
倫敦地鐵的票價是以分區計算的，所以在詢問價錢時改用
「What is the fare of one zone?」
請問一區的票價是多少呢?

ticket fare 票價
搭地鐵時都會經過驗票處，最簡單的說法是「ticket counter」。
刷卡進站則是「scan the ticket/easycard and pass through the gate」，在這邊E編教大家旋轉式閘門的英文用語「turnstile」
接下來的問句適用許多交通工具喔!
可以替換其他交通工具如bus，地點則是隨自己想要的地點更換喔!
詢問此班列車是否到倫敦的時候
「Does the train go to London?」
詢問此列車前往何處
「What is the train heading to ?」
詢問轉車
「I'm going to Tokyo. Can you tell me how to transfer?」
詢問班車離開時間
「What time will the train to London leave?」
詢問班車行駛時間
「How long does it take to get there?」
那如果要詢問還要剩幾站才能到達目的地呢?
「How many stops before (place) ?」
若迷失了方向想要請問該往哪個方向走的時候則是使用
「Excuse me, can you please give me the direction of (place)?」
與同學一同搭乘時要詢問座位是哪一車廂
「Which compartment are you in?」
詢問多久來一班公車
「How often does bus run?」
詢問他人能否在某處提醒下車
「Would you please remind me when we arrive London?」
接下來E編要介紹一些交通工具的介詞用法喔!
以某種交通工具前往某處
by bus
by train
by ship
by airplane
步行
on foot
(適用於可以站立的交通工具)
get on上車
get /drop off 下車
【範例】I left my cell phone when I got off the bus.
我把手機留在公車上了。
(適用於坐於裡頭的交通工具)
get into上車
get out下車
【範例】I got into the taxi with my classmates.
我與我的同學一起上計程車。

trolley電車
night express夜快車
through train 直達火車
diesel train 柴油火車
first class train頭等車廂火車
※巴士種類
bus巴士
shuttle 接駁巴士
inter-terminal bus機場間巴士
double-decker bus雙層巴士
tour bus遊覽車

接下來則是搭乘船的部分
首先是買票的部分，與其他交通工具不同的是會有車子需要運輸，這時候可以使用
「I'd like a ticket for two passengers and one car.」
我要買一張票，兩個乘客及一部車。
搭乘長途的船或郵輪會需要休息的地方，這時候可以使用
「I'd like a two-berth cabin.」
我需要一個兩臥鋪的客艙
郵輪也會有許多設施，例如餐廳、游泳池
詢問這些設施在哪一層時可以使用
「Which deck is the restaurant on?」
請問餐廳在哪一層
表達船程多久
「How long does the crossing take?」
表達暈船
「I feel seasick.」
接下來是船上的廣播
「All car passengers, please make your way down to the car decks fordisembarkation.」
請所有的乘客到登船閘板準備下船
「Please vacate your cabins.」
請離開客艙
「We will be arriving in port in approximately 30 minutes.」
我們約30分鐘後會到達港口
