就在今年（2020）五月的時候，
中國國務院總理李克強提出了一個新興的名詞「地攤經濟（Stall Economy）」，
讓全球各界人士為之驚嘆。但你知道其中究竟發生了什麼事嗎？

以及在各個階段會用到或看到的相關英文單字，你準備好了嗎？
（一）根本不該存在的「地攤」
在以往的中國，地攤是一個被禁止的經濟活動，
因為被認為有礙市容等原因，
攤販們總會被執法者（所謂的「城管」）所驅趕。
stall (n.) 地攤
【例句】After heeding the advice, she opened a juice stall.
在聽取意見之後，他決定開設一家果汁攤。
street vendor (n.) 攤販
【例句】Street vendors are usually unwelcome in China.
在中國，攤販通常不受歡迎。
eyesore (n.) 眼中釘；難看的東西

地攤飯被認為有礙市容觀瞻。
rules enforcer (n.) 執法者

執法人對於攤販並不友善。

（二）中國經濟成長開始趨緩
中國經濟在過去幾年的火速成長可說令西方世界看得瞠目結舌，
但是要維持如此高水平的成長曲線幾乎是不可能的，
就在不久前中國經濟的成長開始漸緩，
又受到2020年疫情的影響，景氣發展已不再輝煌。
prosperity (n.) 繁榮昌盛、富庶

他的說法違背了長久以來被相信不會動搖的繁榮昌盛。
derailed economy (n.) 脫軌的經濟
【例句】He tried to get the derailed economy back on track.

economic turndown (n.) 經濟下滑
【例句】Many people lost their jobs during the sharp economic turndown.
許多人在經濟急劇下滑中失去工作。
unemployment (n.) 失業

poverty (n.) 貧窮；貧困
【例句】Many people suffer from the extreme poverty situation.
許多人正承受著極為貧困的處境。
low-wage worker (n.) 低薪勞工
【例句】It might be hard for low-wage workers to afford a car.
對於低薪勞工來說，買一部車是難以負擔的。
low-end population (n.) 低端人口
【例句】Low-end population is the victim of the soaring economic growth.
低端人口是在快速經濟成長下的受害者。
make a living (v.) 謀生
【例句】Operating a stall is a hard way to make a living.
擺攤是一個艱難的謀生方式。
scrape by (v.) 勉強維持生計
【例句】It would be an option when there aren’t many ways to scape by.
當沒有太多其他謀生方式時，這會是一個選擇。
（三）總理李克強提出了不一樣的解方 --- 地攤經濟（Stall Economy）
李克強出乎意料之外地提出了中國仍有近半數的人處在低收入情形的數據，
也順勢提出了全新的解方「地攤經濟」，
但這卻在中國政壇中投下了一顆震撼彈，
因為這無疑是挑戰了中國一直以來的經濟體制以及國家主席習近平的權威。

（四）引發媒體爭相報導及熱烈討論
因為超出外界的想像，所以這個新穎的提案一公開變成為眾人熱議的話題。
buzzword (n.) 熱詞
【例句】”Stall economy” becomes a buzzword.
「地攤經濟」一詞成為了熱詞。
chime in (v.) 插話（通常表示贊同），附和
【例句】Many media chimed in with stories about successful vendors..
媒體爭相報導成功的攤商。

（五）中共政策急轉彎，打臉李克強
劇情是絕對不會放任國家主席習近平片面挨打的，
從某一天起，所有報章雜誌、媒體評論便開始批評起這項新政策，
而有些過去網路上的資料和評論也「被消失」，
因此，所謂的「地攤經濟」也成為了未定案，面臨終止危機。
backlash (n.) 反彈
【例句 】He has a strong backlash against the new rule to restrict people’s freedom of speech.
他強烈反對限制人民言論自由的新規定。
fall to earth (v.) 跌落谷底
【例句 】The stall economy stocks fall to earth.
在地攤經濟股跌落谷底。
