GMAT的全名是Graduate Management Admission Test
中文是「研究生管理科學入學考試」，
在眾多國家當中，常用於大學、研究所的入學測驗，
甚至近年來也有企業藉此當作求才的筆試測驗。
其中一項數學考試是 Data Sufficiency（DS），
會給定題目與條件，所以考生答題的重點不是題目的解答是多少，
而是：「在擁有條件1 & 2的情況下，是否足以回答題目？」

選項
GMAT Data Sufficiency通通都是選擇題，
每一題都是「題目」、「條件1」、「條件2」和「選項」。
並且每一題的選項都一樣：
(A) statement 1 alone is sufficient, but statement 2 alone is not sufficient to answer the question
(B) statement 2 alone is sufficient, but statement 1 alone is not sufficient to answer the question
(C) both statements taken together are sufficient to answer the question, but neither statement alone is sufficient
(D) each statement alone is sufficient
(E) statements 1 and 2 together are not sufficient, and additional data is needed to answer the question
條件解釋
A -> 只有條件1已經充分回答題目，但只有條件2仍不充分
（白話：條件1可）
B -> 只有條件2已經充分回答題目，但只有條件1仍不充分
（白話：條件2可）
C -> 條件1加上條件2可以充分回答，但兩者單獨都不充分
（白話：條件1 + 條件2可）
D -> 條件1、條件2單獨都可以充分回答題目
（白話：條件1、條件2皆可）
E -> 條件1加上條件2仍無法充分回答，還需要其他條件
（白話：條件1、條件2皆不可）

- quadrilateral 四邊形
- square 正方形

【試題範例】
Is the length of a side of equilateral triangle A less than the length of a side of square B?
正三角形A的邊長比正方形B的邊長短嗎？
1. The perimeter of A and the perimeter of B are equal.
條件一：A和B的周長一樣。
2. The ratio of the height of triangle A to the diagonal of square B is 2√3 : 3√2.
條件二：三角形A的高和正方形B的對角線的比例是2√3 : 3√2
數字運算必備單字
加減乘除
- plus/and 加
- minus 減
- times/multiplied by 乘
- divided (by) 除
- equal 等於
數字運算的時候，「等於」可以使用equal或是is，
equal是比較正式的用法，is則相對口語、輕鬆。
【運算範例】
- 加法：2+5=7
Two plus five is seven.
Two and five is seven.
Two plus five equals seven.
- 減法：5-1=4
five minus one is four.
five minus one equals four.
- 減法（複數）：3-9=-6
Three minus nine is negative six.
Three minus nine equals negative six.
- 乘法：3x3=9
Three times three is nine.
Three multiplied by three is nine.
Three times three equals nine.
- 除法：8÷4=2
Eight divided by four is two.
Eight divided by four equals two.
數值
- value 值
- positive 正數
- negative 負數
- arithmetic mean 算數平均數（= average）
- median 中位數
- mode 眾數
- integer 整數
- consecutive 連續的
- real numbers 實數
【試題範例】
Are the integers x, y and z consecutive?
整數x、y、z是連續數嗎？
1. The arithmetic mean of x, y and z is y.
條件一：x、y、z的算術平均數是y。
2. y minus x equals z minus y
條件二：y-x = z-y

分數概念
分數（幾分之幾）這個概念如何在英文表達呢？
這時候就要用到序數的概念（就是first, second, third......）
規則：分子使用數字，分母使用序數，中間使用“-”連接
什麼意思呢？
像是四分之一英文是：“one-fourth”，
七分之一的英文就是：“one-seventh”。
如果分子大於一（像是五分之二、九分之四這種，二和四都大於一），
則「序數」要加上“s”。
五分之二：“two-fifths”
九分之四：“four-ninths”
※例外：
凡規則必有例外，在這裡也是如此。
雖然2的序數是second，但我們不會說二分之一是one-second，
我們多半都說二分之一是“one half”。
【試題範例】
When a lollipop is taken at random from a bag, what is the probability that it is chocolate flavored?
隨機從袋子裡拿出一根棒棒糖，這根棒棒糖是巧克力口味的機率是多少？
1. There are twice as many chocolate flavored lollipops as there are almond flavored lollipops in the ba
條件一：袋子裡面巧克力口味的棒棒糖數量是杏仁口味的兩倍。
2. One third of the lollipops in the bag are almond flavored.
條件二：袋子裡三分之一的棒棒糖是杏仁口味。
