世界盃（FIFA World Cup）出奇不意的戰況發展，

因此每年的世界盃總是讓各國球迷引頸期盼。

讓我們從了解世界盃（FIFA World Cup）基本賽制開始，一起進入足球的世界。

1. Each team consists of 11 players.

每支隊伍由11名球員組成。

2. The match is split up into two halves of 45 minutes.

比賽被切分為上下半場，各45分鐘。

3. Players have a 15 minute rest period called half time.

選手有15分鐘的中場休息時間。

4. If the game needs to head to extra time as a result of both teams

being level in a match, then 30 minutes will be added in the form of

two 15 minute halves after the allotted 90 minutes.

如果兩隊在原訂90分鐘的賽制中比分相同，則會接著進行上下半場各15分鐘的延長賽。

除了世界盃使用的11人制，足球也有5人、7人制的比賽，

人數不同規則、戰術也會不同。值得注意的是，

在11人制的比賽中隊伍沒有請求暫停的權利，

但在5人制比賽中兩隊在上下半場都各有一次暫停請求權。

接著為大家介紹足球比賽中主要的四個球員位置：守門、後衛、中場、前鋒。

守門（Goalkeeper）

The goalkeeper is the guy with gloves who keeps the opponents from scoring.

守門員就是戴著手套、防止對方球員進分的最後一道防線。

後衛（Defender）

A defender’s task is to keep the ball away from the keeper,

to prevent opposing attackers from passing or receiving, and to block shots.

後衛的任務是讓球遠離守門員，並防止對方球員傳、接球或射門。

明星球員：Jesus Vallejo

中場（Midfielder）

Midfielders link the offense and the defense:

they bring the ball up to the forwardsin attack and prevent

the ball from reaching the defenders when not in possession.

中場是綜合了進攻與防守的位置，他們將球往前場傳讓前鋒能進行下一步的攻擊，

並在非我方球權時作為後衛的前一道防線。

前鋒（Forward）

Forwards are often the ones who score goals.

前鋒通常是射門得分的人。

越位（Offside）

最後和大家介紹11人制足球中特有的規則——越位（offside），

越位可以算是足球中最難以理解的規則，一言以蔽之就是：

「攻擊方傳球時，要接球的球員不能站的比防守方倒數第二個球員更靠近要進攻的球門」，

這是越位的第一個構成因素，在符合越位區域後裁判還會考慮攻擊方是否有因此獲利，

以及此舉是否有干擾到比賽進行來決定是否判罰。

由於同時要考慮傳球瞬間球、攻方球員位置、守方球員位置，

因此在判決時，足球裁判也常常使用慢速回放重新檢視。
