【英文片語】 turn on? turn in? 傻傻分不清楚！ 十個 “turn” 的片語報你知
對於初學者來講，英文單字雖然很難背，
但其實很多單字根據搭配的介系詞或單字而解釋、延伸，
所以背起一個單字通常就可以有很多用法了！
有時候會很容易被一堆介系詞混淆，
今天小編就要來幫大家整理跟「turn （轉、旋轉）」的片語唷！
1. turn in 繳交
在學生時期，
一定常常聽到英文老師說這個單字吧！
不管是繳交作業還是報告，或是職場上要呈交給主管的報表也都可以用turn in 這個片語。
《例句》
You should turn in your report by the deadline.
你應該要在期限內繳交報告。
2. turn into 變成
into這個介系詞有「深入…之中」的意思，
跟turn搭配，
就有了「變成」的意思。
《例句》
Anyone who looks in Medusa's eyes will turn into stone.
任何直視梅杜莎眼睛的人都會變成石頭。
3. turn to 向...求救
這個片語可以想像成假設你自己在做一件事情遇到了困難，
你就必須「轉向」你要求救的人向他開口尋求幫助。
要記得不要跟 turn into 搞混唷！

Turn to me anytime you need.
需要時隨時找我幫忙。
4. turn on/off 打開/關掉
turn on 跟 turn off 常常用在打開或關掉電器上面
像是打開（關掉）電視、打開（關掉）冷氣，
這邊的打開可不是用open跟close喔！
講錯可就糗大了！

5. turn out 結果是... / 原來是...
turn out 這個片語有一點恍然大悟的感覺，
本來不知道什麼事，然後因為一些方法得知後的那種「原來啊～」的意境。

She turned out to be my sister's friend.
=It turned out that she is my sister's friend.
她原來是我妹妹的朋友。
6. turn around 轉身
「轉身」也是一個天天在做的動作，
說不會它的英文說不過去吧！

Turn around, and you'll find out that there's still many people rooting for you.
轉身看看，你會發現還有很多人支持著你。

turn one's life around 徹底改變了...的一生（壞變好）
= Winning the lottery really turned his life around.

7. turn down 拒絕
down 就是「往下」或是「低落」的意思，
想像以下例句的意境，
被拒絕的男主角一定心情會很 down 吧！

He asked her to marry him but she turned him down.
他向她求婚，但她拒絕了。
8. in turn 依序

She spoke to each of the guests in turn.
她依序和她的訪客們面談。

My sister and I took turns to take care our new-born brother.

9. turn over 翻過來、翻頁
學生們天天會做的動作就是「翻書」，
而翻書這個動作的英文就是 turn over。

10. turn away 別過臉去、轉過身去
“away” 有遠離的意思，
