【易混淆字】是 "Anyway"、 "Anyways" 還是 "Any way"？正確用法、同義詞片語一次學！

“Anyway” 這個字在英文對話中非常常用，甚至還會融入中文對話使用，
表達「無論如何」的語氣。
但你知道 “anyway”、“anyways” 和 “any way” 有什麼區別嗎？
這次 Engoo 就要來和各位分享這個字的正確用法。
另外，當 “anyway” 說太多次不小心成為口頭禪時，可能會讓對方覺得講話一直重複，
所以我們也會分享不同的替代說法！
Anyway = Anyways｜無論如何／總之／反正
首先， “anyway” 第一種用法是表達「無論如何」或「反正」，
也就是前面提到的都不會影響接下來要說的話，有時候會翻成「（最後）還是」。
【例句】
I'm not sure if I'll have time, but I'll try to come to the party anyway.
我不確定我有沒有空參加派對，但無論如何我都會盡量到場。
I forgot to bring my umbrella. Anyway, it looks like it's going to stop raining soon.
我忘記帶雨傘，不過反正看起來雨也快停了。
另外， “anyway” 也可以作為「話題轉換」前的助詞，
同時也有「總結」話題的功能，常譯成「總之」。
【例句】
Anyway, let's get back to the main topic.
總之，讓我們回到主題。
至於多了一個 “s” 的 “anyways” 其實就只是比較口語的說法，
用法和意思與 “anyway” 完全一樣喔！
只是要注意，寫作的時候用 “anyway” 就好，要避免太口語的說法喔。
Any way｜任何方式
當 “any” 和 “way” 分開時，指的是「任何方法」或是字面意思「任一條路」。
【例句】
I’d be happy to help you in any way I can.
我很樂意盡我所能地幫你。（字面上指「以任何可行的方式幫你」）
All three roads lead to different attractions. You can go any way you want.
三條路都通向不同的景點。你可以選任一條想走的路。
Anyway（無論如何）的替代用法
接下來，就一起看看有什麼說法可以代替 “anyway” 吧！
In any case
“In any case” 更強調「無論如何」、「任何情況都一樣」，
也就是 “under any circumstance” 或 “no matter what”。
【例句】
I'm not sure if he'll arrive on time. In any case, we can start the meeting without him.
我不確定他會不會準時到，但無論如何，我們沒有他也可以直接進行會議。
In any case, we need to be prepared for any outcome.
無論情勢如何發展，我們都需要為所有可能的結果做準備。
The price might change, but I'll reserve the tickets now. In any case, we secure our spots.
票價可能會有所變動，但我現在還是先訂票，確保無論如何我們都至少有位置。
Regardless (of …)
“Regardless of sth.” 指「某件事不會影響計畫」，也就是「不管怎麼樣」，
後面要接「名詞」喔！
【例句】
Regardless of the weather, we are going on our picnic tomorrow.
不管天氣如何，我們明天就是會去野餐。
She continued to work diligently regardless of the late hour.
不管時間多晚，她還是一直勤奮工作。
Regardless of the outcome, I'm proud of your efforts.
無論結果如何，我都為你的努力感到驕傲。
At any rate
“Rate” 是指「速率」， “at any rate”字面上是「無論事情以什麼速率發展」，
實際上就是指「無論情況如何」。
【例句】
At any rate, we have to finish this project by Friday.
無論如何，我們都得在這禮拜五前完成這項專案。
The movie was a bit confusing, but at any rate, the special effects were spectacular.
那部電影有點難懂，但特效還是很厲害的。
At any rate, I got the main idea even though I wasn't able to finish the book.
雖然我沒辦法讀完整本書，但總之我已經大概理解主要內容了。
Anyhow
“Anyhow” 用法就等同於 “anyway”，一樣可以用來轉換話題或表達轉折，
中文有時候不翻出來會比較順！
【例句】
Anyhow, we managed to complete the assignment.
總之，我們終於完成了那項作業。
I couldn't find my keys, but I managed to unlock the door anyhow.
我找不到鑰匙，但最後我還是成功開鎖了。
He was running late and got stuck in traffic, but he made it to the meeting anyhow.
他那時塞車又快遲到，但最後還是趕上會議了。
