【慣用語】 Through 片語大集合！look through、come through 等 8 個常用片語一次學！

我們在「”th” 唸法」文章中有介紹到 “through”，
其中只有稍微帶過其用法，不過這個字在英文中有超多片語，
可以說是用途最廣泛的單字之一！
這次就一起來看看 walk through、 see through 等片語吧！
Break through｜突破（困難、障礙）
首先動詞 “break” 指「破壞」，而在此 “through” 有「穿透」的意思，
合起來可以想像成「衝破牢籠」的感覺，
比喻「有所突破」，例如克服困難或突破瓶頸。
【例句】
Scientists are hoping to break through with a new cure for the disease.
科學家們希望能有所突破，找到疾病的新解方。
The small company managed to break through the competitive market.
這家小公司成功在競爭激烈的市場中突圍。
Get through｜撐過、熬過、完成
這裡的 “through” 也有「穿越」的意思，
“get through” 指撐了好久終於完成、熬過某事，
如同終於「穿越」黑暗的森林或迷霧般，
因此通常只會接上「繁瑣」、「煎熬」的事項。
【例句】
Call me if you need any help getting through this difficult time.
如果你需要幫忙來度過難關，隨時可以聯繫我。
It took me hours to get through all the paperwork.
我花了好幾個小時才完成所有文書作業。
Look through｜瀏覽、快速查看
“look through” 指「快速閱覽」，通常是用在最後檢查或大致看過去的情境。
【例句】
Could you look through the report and check for any errors?
可以請你快速檢查一下報告，確認有無錯誤嗎？
See through｜看穿／堅持到底
See through 有兩種用法：
其一為「看穿」、「看透」某人的面具、詭計，
猶如從透明玻璃「透過去」一樣清楚；
其二為「堅持到底」，可以記「一部電影『看』到底」。
【例句】
He thought his excuse was good, but I saw through it immediately.
他以為他的藉口很完美，但我一眼就看穿。
Even though the project was challenging, she decided to see it through to the end.
雖然這個計劃充滿挑戰，她還是決定堅持到最後。
Come through｜兌現（承諾）／堅持／（情感）流露
Come through 用法就更多變了！
其一是「履行」、「兌現」承諾；
其二是「堅持到底」， 與 “see through” 相同；
其三是「情感流露」、「顯現」。
【例句】
We were worried about the funding, but they finally came through with the money.
我們本來很擔心資金問題，但最後他們終於兌現。
We’ve seen multiple obstacles along the way, but we’ve come through.
我們一路以來遇到許多阻礙，但都撐過來了。
Be through with｜與…結束關係
“through” 加上 with，指和某人事物劃清關係，
例如和某渣男、渣女結束關係、劃清界線。
【例句】
Leo’s girlfriend cheated on him, so he’s now through with her.
Leo 女友出軌，所以現在他們結束了。
Go through｜經歷（某事、程序、步驟）
Go through 指「走程序」或是「經歷某事」，
如同「走過」一關又一關。
【例句】
Before the surgery, you’ll have to go through some inspections.
進行手術之前，你要先做（經過）一些身體檢查。
Walk through｜帶領／演練／檢查
很簡單的動詞 “walk” 搭配 through 可以變出至少兩種不同意思！
第一是「帶領」、「解說」，如同帶著你「走出」森林，特別是職場前輩帶後輩的情境下會用到；
第二是「演練」，這個用法跟 “go through” 很像，都是用在「走程序」。
【例句】
Could you walk me through the process of submitting expense reports?
可以跟我解說一下提交報銷單的流程嗎？
The team will walk through the entire emergency procedure this afternoon to ensure everyone knows their role.
團隊下午會進行緊急狀況的演練，以確保所有人都知道自己的職責所在。
