Birdbrain一詞雖然用來罵人愚蠢，
但近年的研究發現小鳥的智商其實很高，
也說不定這個單詞日後會演變為褒義詞呢！
Birds of a feather flock together 物以類聚
【例句】
I often hang out with guys who also like playing basketball. Because you know, birds of a feather flock together.
我常跟也喜歡打籃球的人混在一起，畢竟物以類聚嘛。
由於鳥兒是群居動物，常群聚在一起，
因此便衍生出這個片語～若單說 birds of a feather 則指志趣相投、
甚至是臭味相投的人。
A little bird told me 我聽說、有人告訴我
【例句】
A little bird told me you’re engaged. 有人跟我說你訂婚了。
這個片語最常用在我們不想透露消息來源時，
因此若你想賣關子、保持神祕時特別適合～
【例句】
“Who told you that I am pregnant?” “Well, let’s just say a little bird told me.”
「是誰跟你說我懷孕了？」「這個嘛，反正我就是知道。」
Free as a bird 完全自由的
【例句】
I just finished my exam, and I am now free as a bird!
我剛考完試，現在自由自在的！
英國傳奇樂團披頭四 The Beatles曾於1995年12月推出一首單曲《Free As a Bird 》，中文譯名便是「自由如鳥」。
Early bird 早起者、早到者
【例句】
My grandpa is quite an early bird.
我爺爺習慣早起。
Early bird這個詞是不是聽起來很熟悉呢？
沒錯！就是我們中文諺語中說的「早起的鳥兒有蟲吃。」
“The early bird gets the worm.”
小資族最喜歡搶得早鳥優惠則是 Early bird special/ discount。

【例句】
You can get a bird’s eye view of Taipei from the top of Taipei 101.
你可以從台北101頂短俯瞰台北。
像鳥兒高飛俯瞰，其實就是中文中的「鳥瞰」。
Eat like a bird 食量很小
【例句】
You eat like a bird. No wonder you are so skinny.
你吃得好少。難怪你這麼瘦。
這個片語的概念就跟中文中的「小鳥胃」一樣，
是不是非常好記呢～至於大胃王，我們則可以說他 Eat like a horse。
Kill two birds with one stone 一舉兩得
【例句】
He killed two birds with one stone and visited his daughter in Paris on business.
他到巴黎出差時順便拜訪女兒，一舉兩得。
想記住這個片語，只要聯想中文中的「一石二鳥」就沒問題了！
另外，一舉兩得也可以說是 One move, two gains 。

Although the kids are still young, we should tell them about the birds and the bees.
雖然孩子們年紀還小，我們也該向他們講解基本的性知識。
鳥兒？蜜蜂？它們跟性的關係是什麼呢？
有種說法是，蜜蜂能傳花授粉，象徵男性受精；
鳥兒會下蛋，則代表女性排卵。
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush 百鳥在林，不如一鳥在手
【例句】
