【英文口說】等等，縮寫 etc 的全名是什麼？等等、之類的英文表達方式有哪些？

不知道各位在說英文時想說「之類的」時會不會說 or something like that，如果你有這個習慣，不妨學習其他相關正式與非正式的說法！
et cetera 等等、諸如此類
et cetera 源自拉丁語，et 表示「和」；cetera 意為「其餘」，合起來就是「和其他」。拼法有 et cetera、etcetera、etc。
要注意的是，et cetera 只能用在物品上，如果是人物則要使用 et al.，不過在口語當中不常出現，只會在引用多位共同作者發表的書籍或學術文章看見，例如：
Bowie, Johnson, Brown, et al., 2022
正式表達
介紹完 et cetera 的由來及用法，我們來看一些其他關於「等等」的正式與非正式表達～
~ and so on(and so forth)
and so on 有種繼續的感覺，所以常常用在「相似事物」來表示等等之意。
At the meeting, we’ll need to discuss the budget, the schedule, staffing and so on.
我們在會議當中需要討論預算、行程、員工等等事務。
有時候後面會加上 and so forth 或單獨使用 and so forth，意思全都一樣。
Language lessons can help you improve things like pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and so on and so forth.
語言課程能夠幫助你改善發音、文法、單字等等。
~ and the like
這一個表達方式與 and so on 相同。
The farmer's market has stands selling fruit, baked goods and the like.
農夫市集裡有賣水果、烘焙等相關商品的攤販。
~ and whatnot
這一個表達方式並不常見，在難以清楚形容的事物上才會使用 whatnot。
The scientist’s laboratory was filled with strange devices, crazy inventions and whatnot.
這位科學家的實驗室充滿著罕見的裝置、瘋狂的發明等事物。
~ and what have you
對於英文母語者來說，不是 you have 而是 have you 聽起來也很奇怪，但這仍是一個常見的表達方式！
The festival will include different kinds of entertainment, such as musical performances, dancing, art exhibitions and what have you.
這個祭典將包含不同的娛樂活動，像是音樂表演、舞蹈、藝術展覽等等。
~ and such
and such 也是一個常見的用法。
The hotel breakfast only includes simple things like cereal, bagels and such.
這間飯店的早餐包含像是麥片、貝果等簡易食物。
非正式表達
~ and stuff like that
這個說法可能很多人都聽過，stuff 也可以由 things 代替。
She has a large collection of vintage items like rare coins, classic vinyl records and stuff like that.
她有大量復古收藏，像是少見的銅板、經典黑膠唱片等物。
~ blah, blah, blah
blah, blah, blah 在台灣也很常使用，不管是中文，還是英文，這個說法都非常不正式，只限於熟人之間使用，說的時候也常配著手勢一起說。
The meeting was about sales numbers, budgets, blah, blah, blah. The usual stuff.
那場會議是關於銷售額、預算吧啦吧啦，就是一些平常的東西。
不想聽別人說話，或是在吵架的時候，也可以用 blah, blah, blah 來敷衍了事。
The company tweeted an apology for their controversial ad and promised to do better in the future, blah, blah, blah.
這間公司發推特為爭議廣告道歉，說以後會做得更好，一堆廢話。
一個 blah 也可以用作名詞或形容詞，意思一樣。
The documentary was filled with a lot of blah about things I didn't care about.
整部紀錄片都是一些我不在乎的鳥事。
This soup tastes really blah. It needs some salt.
這碗湯喝起來真的不怎麼樣，需要加點鹽。
yadda yadda yadda (or yada yada yada)
yadda yadda 和 blah, blah, blah 很像，只是比較不常見。
That event was the same old thing it always is: boring speeches, snobby guests, yadda yadda yadda. I’ve seen it a million times before.
這個活動和以前一樣就是一些無聊的致詞、愛慕虛榮的賓客之類的東西，我已經看過幾百萬次了。
