線上學習平台的好處大家都知道：你可以隨時隨地學習，
而且還可以自己決定要學什麼、學習方式，以及老師要不要積極糾正你。
但上線上英文口說課的時候，有時候會突然卡住不知道說什麼，
時間就一分一秒地浪費掉了。
不用怕！這次Engoo來教大家線上英文課可以用的十句實用句型！
自我介紹
通常第一堂課會和老師自我介紹，並且讓老師知道你的學習目標。
1. Call me… 你可以叫我......
你可以用這個句型來讓老師知道他該如何稱呼你。
（可以是綽號、英文名、中文名......）
【例句】
1. My name is Sebastien, but please call me “Seb.”
我的名字是Sebastien，你可以叫我 Seb。2. My name is José, but feel free to call me “Pepe.” All my friends call me that.
我的名字是 José，但我朋友都叫我 Pepe。你也可以這樣稱呼我。3. My name is Mikhail. You can just call me “Misha.” I prefer that.
我的名字是Mikhail，你可以叫我 Misha就好。我比較喜歡別人這樣叫我。
2. Today, I’d like to… 今天，我想要學......
通常學生在預約課程的時候，會從我們上百種課程教材中挑選，
但其實上課的時候你也可以和外師聊教材以外的事！
【例句】
1. Today, I’d like to go over an essay with you. Could you correct my mistakes?
今天我想要和你討論一下我的一篇作文。可以請你幫我看看哪邊有錯嗎？2. Today, I’d like to practice talking about marketing.
今天我想要練習用英文談論行銷。3. Today, I’d like to read a news article and discuss it together.
今天我想要閱讀新聞文章，並且和你一起討論。

我想要加強我的......
如果你有哪項能力或哪個方面想要特別加強，也可以和老師說喔！
【例句】
1. I’d like to improve my ability to express myself more precisely.
我想要加強精準表達自我的能力。2. I’d like to improve my pronunciation, especially of the “th” sound. Could you please correct my mistakes?
我想要加強我的發音，特別是 “th” 的音。可以請你糾正我的錯誤嗎？
向老師詢問建議或評論，並和他們道謝
不論你是想要問老師某件事物英文更好的說法，
或是希望老師給你評論建議，
這幾句都很好用喔！
4. What are some ways to … in English?
……用英文怎麼說？
有時候你可能突然不知道如何用英文精準地表達某些想法，
或是你要上台報告，但不知道要怎麼講比較好，
這時你就可以問老師 “What are some ways to … in English?”
【例句】
1. I’d like to apologize to my friend for breaking her cup. What are some ways to do this in English besides “Sorry for breaking your cup”?
我打破了我朋友的杯子，所以我想要跟她道歉。
除了 “Sorry for breaking your cup” 以外， 還有什麼其他英文講法呢？2. I want to ask my flatmate to not be so loud at night. What are some ways to bring this up in English?
我想要請我室友晚上小聲一點。要怎麼用英文向他開口呢？
5. Is there a more ... way to say this in English?
這個有更...的英文說法嗎？
如果你已經知道如何表達你的想法，但想要用更好的方式說出來，
就可以問老師這個句子。
【例句】
1. Is there a more polite way to say this in English?
這個有比較禮貌的英文說法嗎？2. Is there a more precise way to say this in English?
這個有更精準的英文說法嗎？3. Is there a more natural way to say this in English?
這個有更自然的英文說法嗎？
6. Thanks for pointing that out. 謝謝指教。
如果你覺得老師給的建議非常有用，你可以向他們表示感謝。
這樣他們就會知道以後要多給你哪種的建議。
【例句】
1. Thanks for pointing out that I keep confusing “bored” and “boring.” I thought I had mastered this, but I guess I didn’t!
謝謝你提醒我！我一直把 “bored” 和 “boring” 搞混。我還以為我已經學會了呢！2. Thanks for pointing out that I sound robotic. I’ll make sure to work on my rhythm so I sound more natural.
謝謝你提醒我我講話聽起來像機器人。我會再多練習講話的節奏，讓自己聽起來更自然！
7. Thanks for letting me know. 謝謝你讓我知道。
除了指出錯誤，老師也會對你的英文給出評論。可能是正面也可能是負面的，不過只要你覺得有用，也可以讓老師知道你的謝意！
【例句】
1. Thanks for letting me know that I need to work on my grammar. I’ll take some grammar lessons next time.
謝謝你讓我知道我的文法需要加強。我下次會上幾堂文法課的。2. Thanks for letting me know that my pronunciation is actually not bad. You help me feel more confident!
謝謝你讓我知道我的發音其實不算差。你幫助我提升了很多自信！
其他請求
8. Could you type it in the chatbox, please?
可以請你幫我把字打在對話框嗎？
有時候你可能聽不懂老師在講什麼，希望他幫你把字拼出來，
或是來不及紀錄他提供的資訊，
這時就可以用這個句型。
【例句】
1. Sorry, I didn’t get that. Could you type it in the chatbox, please?
不好意思，我沒聽懂。可以請你打在對話框嗎？2. Could you type the word you just said in the chatbox, please? I’d like to know how to spell it.
可以請你在聊天室把你剛剛講的那個字打下來嗎？我想知道要怎麼拼。
9. Could we skip … , please? 可以跳過...嗎？
如果你選擇使用教材，但覺得某些部分沒有那麼有幫助，
這時就可以和老師這樣說。
【例句】
1. Could we skip this question, please?
可以先跳過這個問題嗎？2. Could we skip the vocabulary exercise, please?
我們可以跳過單字練習嗎？3. Could we skip the article, please? I already read it before class.
我們可以跳過這個文章嗎？我課前有先閱讀了。
課程結束時
10. I learned a lot. 我學到了很多。
最後，要感謝老師的課時，你可以這樣說。
