【易混淆字】到底是躺著還是說謊？一次搞懂lie，lay，lain，lied
在學習英文的時候，一定曾經有一組長相相似的單字讓你痛不欲生。
一個字有兩種意思，不怕不怕，怕的是兩個意思居然有不同時態的變化？
lie就是典型的易混淆單字，看到lie的時候，你第一個想的是說謊，還是躺下呢？其實，這兩種都有可能！
一、lie說謊
變化lie lied lied lying
值得注意的是，Lie是不及物動詞，慣用法是lie to somebody
【例句】
Don’t lie to me.
別對我說謊
He lies to his grandma that he has a girlfriend.
他對奶奶謊稱自己有女朋友。
Yesterday, he lied again.
昨天，他再度說謊了。
Are you lying to me?
你在騙我嗎？
lie也有名詞，謊言的意思。
如果要說「說謊」，動詞常用tell。
【例句】
He tends to tell lies to his girlfriend.
他慣於對他女朋友說謊。
不過，tell a lie也常用來表示不小心口誤的意思。
【例句】
I am 20 years old. Oh no, I tell a lie. I’m 21 years old.
我現在二十歲。噢，不對我講錯了，我現在二十一歲。
二、lie 躺下
變化lie lay lain lying
lie作躺下的意思的時候，同樣是不及物動詞，依照後面躺的位置或地方用不同的介係詞。
Lie的過去式lay是最容易搞混的，因為和放置、產卵的lay長的一樣，
所以，一定要記得lay為過去式的躺下時，後面不可以直接加名詞
【例句】
She lies down on her bed, thinking of her loving children.
她躺在床上，想著她親愛的孩子們。
A girl lay in front of the Christmas tree.
女孩躺在聖誕樹的前面。
We have lain on the bed for a whole day.
我們已經在床上躺了一整天了。
He is lying on the floor now.
他正躺在地板上。
三、Lay 放置、產卵
變化lay laid laid laying
在使用lay的時候，一定要記得，lay是及物動詞，後面一定要加受詞。
【例句】
Hey, please lay the table before your parents come home.
嘿，請在你父母回家前把餐桌準備好。
My dad laid his hand on my shoulder.
我的父親將他的手放在我的肩膀上。
The hen has laid three eggs.
母雞已經產下三顆蛋了。
We are laying the groundwork for our future project.
我們正在為了未來的專案打下基礎。
