社群媒體上常出現各種評論女性外表的留言，「太胖了」「鼻子好大」「腿好粗」「穿太露了吧」「這個我可以」「妝前妝後大不同啊」，而寫下這些留言的，有一大部分都是男性，雖然大家都有自己的喜愛偏好，但為什麼他們敢這樣評論網上素不相識的陌生人呢？
應該說，他們憑什麼？
這種留言通常一致認為瘦一點好、小一點好、沒有意見更好，佔有的空間和擁有的聲音愈小愈弱，獲得的掌聲反而愈大，究竟女性要將自己削減到什麼地步，才能滿足這世界的要求？我們的價值只能建立在他人對我們身體的看法之上嗎？

Opinion 意見
指個人意見、看法、主張。

Praise 讚揚、稱讚

Shame 羞辱
作動詞用時，意思為「讓他人感到羞愧、丟臉」，在網路上公開批評、譴責他人也可以使用這個動詞。
【例句】
It shames me that I treated her so badly. (Cambridge Dictionary)
我對她這麽壞，真是令我羞愧。（劍橋詞典）
“Shame” 也可以當作名詞，指「可惜、遺憾」或是「羞恥、羞愧」。
【例句】
It’s a shame that the concert was cancelled.
演唱會取消真是太可惜了。
The kids bowed their heads in shame.
孩子羞愧地低下了頭。

Stare 凝視
“Stare” 也是動名詞同型。
【例句】
Stop staring at me! I really don’t know!
不要再瞪著我了！我真的不知道！
She gave him a long stare and said nothing.
她瞪著他許久，卻又一言不發。
Provoke 引起、激怒
“Provoke” 通常會搭配負面的事情或反應，像是引發抗議、引起擔憂或惹怒他人時就可以使用這個動詞。
【例句】
It was a vicious-looking dog and I didn’t want to provoke it. (Cambridge Dictionary)
我不想惹怒那隻長相兇惡的狗。

Shed 脫落
動物的毛髮、外皮或是樹木的葉子掉落、脫落時，就可以用 “shed” 來描述；用來形容人脫去衣物、眼淚滑落等等也可以用這個動詞喔。 “Shed” 為三態同型（shed-shed-shed）的動詞，加上 “-ing” 時記得要重複字尾！
【例句】
The snake shed its skin.
蛇蛻去了舊皮。
She shed tears of joy after winning the game.
贏得比賽後，她流下快樂的淚水。
