【節慶英文】快來學學跨年必備會話，一起慶祝新年吧！

每年到了尾聲，親朋好友總要互相邀約一起去跨年，
但是，跨年的英文你知道怎麼說嗎？千萬別說cross year！
快來學習正確的用法吧！
一般來說，跨年我們會說to celebrate New Year’s Eve，而不是cross year，
cross-year是指時間橫跨整年度的意思，後面會再加名詞進去，以表示時間為期很久，
例如 : a cross-year research program 跨年度的研究計畫
跨年活動New Year's Eve event
「你打算怎麼跨年呢？ 」
What are you going to do on New Year's Eve?
What are your plans for New Year's Eve?
「我打算...」
I am going to ......
watch a fireworks display / show 煙火秀
the countdown party 參加跨年晚會
go out for a gourmet dinner with my family/friends 跟親朋好友去吃一頓美味的晚餐
throw a party 舉辦派對
watch the New Year's Eve celebrations on TV 看電視的現場轉播
新年新希望New Year's resolution
迎接了新的一年到來，我們也該省視一下自己過去一年的缺點，許下新年新希望？
I want to ... 我想要...
lose weight 減肥
exercise more 多運動
quit smoking 戒菸
get out of debt 擺脫負債
get a better job 找個好工作
be more independent 更獨立自主
be less grumpy 少發點脾氣
become more organized 更有條理
如果想戒除壞習慣，還可以這樣說：
I resolve to cut back on ...我想戒掉...
想要戒除的壞習慣就可以接在後面囉！像是online shopping 網購 / alcohol 酒精
新年祝賀詞New Year messages
I hope you have the most happy and prosperous New Year. 新年快樂！
Good luck and great success in the coming New Year. 祝來年好運、更上一層樓！

跨完了年，緊接著就要過農曆年了，過年前大家最期待的就是領年終獎金囉！
除了年終獎金，還有盛大的尾牙晚會，甚至是明年的升遷、加薪，那麼英文又該如何說呢？

農曆新年 Lunar New Year
紅包 red envelope
Children receive red envelopes from their parents.
小孩子從他們的父母親處收取紅包。
除夕夜Chinese New Year's Eve
On Chinese New Year's Eve, we stay up all night to welcome the New Year.
在農曆新年除夕，我們整晚熬夜迎接新年。
年夜飯 New Year's Eve dinner
We gather around the table to eat Lunar New Year's Eve dinner.
我們聚在桌子四周吃年夜飯。
