【商用英文】詢問專案進度除了 "Keep me updated"，還有這5個超實用英文片語讓你隨時跟上狀況！

在商務合作中，最重要的一環就是溝通。
要讓雙方都可以即時「更新」專案進度、最新進展、突發狀況等，
在英文中，大家最常說的就是 “Keep me updated”，
不過除此之外還有什麼其他講法呢？

Keep up with 跟上（進度、潮流...）
想像你和一個走路很快的人走在一起，
你會需要加快腳步才能「跟上」他，
這個動作就是 “Keep up with”；
在商業英文中，keep up with指的是跟上進度或是跟上時事、潮流。
【例句】
1. Engineers read a lot of studies to keep up with the latest developments in the field.
工程師會讀很多研究論文來讓自己跟上該領域的最新發展。
2. Fashion designers must keep up with the newest trends and designs.
時尚設計師一定要跟上最新的潮流和設計。

Keep posted 回報（進度、修改狀況...）
Post 原意是「貼文或郵寄」，在這邊其實就是 update 更口語化的說法。
有一說是此說法源自於會計業的術語，
表示「更新帳戶資訊」。
你也可以記當你在和夥伴、同事、上司回報進度時，
就好像在公佈欄「貼」上通知一樣讓大家知道。
【例句】
1. Best of luck job hunting! And keep me posted on where you end up working.
祝你找工作順利！務必讓我知道你最後到哪邊高就喔！
2. Make sure to keep your manager posted on the status of this project.
一定要記得和你的經理回報這項計畫的最新狀況。
3. I probably won’t be able to attend this meeting, but keep me posted.
我可能沒辦法參與這場會議，再麻煩把會議紀錄統整給我了。
Keep in the loop 隨時更新資訊
Loop指的是「圈圈」，
所以 “keep in the loop” 就好像是把專案、計畫相關的人都套在一個圈圈裡，
有任何資訊更新，圈圈內的人都會知道。
【例句】
1. I’m CC’ing Jensen just to keep him in the loop.
我會順便寄副本給Jensen，幫他更新最新資訊。
2. I wanted to share a few important notes to keep you in the loop for the next few weeks.
我想和大家分享幾點重要事項，讓大家能在接下來幾週能跟上進度。
3. We’re so happy you subscribed to our newsletter. To stay in the loop, add us to your contacts, so our emails don’t end up in your spam folder!
很高興您訂閱我們的電子報！想要隨時獲得最新資訊的話，請將我們加到您的通訊錄，以免我們寄送的電子郵件被判定為垃圾郵件！
“Loop” 也可以單獨作為動詞使用，例如 loop someone into a discussion（讓某人加入討論）；
或是要表示「完全脫節」，可以說 out of the loop。
【例句】
1. Should we loop Jensen in on the project? He has relevant experiences.
我們要將Jensen加入這項計畫嗎？他有相關經驗。
2. I’ve been out of the loop for a long time, so I’m afraid I can’t tell you what’s going on with that project.
我已經和那項計畫脫節很久了，所以我恐怕無法給你最新資訊。
Catch up 追上（進度、最新資訊）
和 “keep up with” 很像，
當你賽跑中落後，你會試著「追上」前面的人，
英文是 catch up，
在商業英文中是指「幫人跟上最新進度」，
有時可翻作「討論、談論」。
用法是 catch up with 人 on 事項／catch 人 up on 事項（計畫更新、進度）
【例句】
1. It was good catching up with you today regarding the status of our project.
很高興今天能和您討論我們計畫的進度。
2. Can you catch me up on what’s going on? I’ve been out of the loop for too long.
可以請你跟我統整一下現在所發生的事嗎？我在狀況外很久了。
3. Our newsletter makes sure our customers are caught up on our company’s latest products.
透過我們的電子報，顧客可以確保隨時獲得本公司最新產品資訊。
Fill in 說明
平常我們「填寫」表格或考試「畫卡」的動作叫 “Fill in”；
不過在商業英文中，“Fill in” 指的是「說明」。
可以想像成對方對於某件事有很多「空白」，
而我們就像填表格一樣把資訊填進去。
用法是 “Fill someone in”。
【例句】
1. I couldn’t attend the meeting. Could you fill me in on what was discussed?
我那時候沒辦法參與會議。可以請你和我說明一下大家討論了什麼嗎？
2. You’ll need to ask Raj to fill you in on the details.
要麻煩你請Raj和你說明一下細節。
3. Welcome to the team! HR will fill you in on all the company policies.
歡迎加入團隊！人資部門會和你說明所有公司的政策。
