【慣用語】不只有 I see！來學學See eye to eye、Seeing someone 等 8 個常見英文片語！

這次輪到「看看三兄弟」中最後一位—— see 啦！
除了大家熟知的 “I see.”、 “Let me see”、 “see you soon”外，
還有以下常用片語！
See through｜看透（某人、事、物）
俗話說「日久見人心」，英文中想表達「看透某人的面具」，
就可以用片語 “see through” 表示喔！
【例句】
I saw through his lies immediately. His story doesn’t check out at all.
我馬上就看穿了他的謊言。他的說法根本不合理。
See through｜堅持、度過難關
小編沒寫錯！ “see through” 除了「看透」外，
竟然還能指「度過難關」！
同義詞有 “persevere”、 “weather (the storm)” 等等。
【例句】
We managed to see through the financial crisis.
我們成功度過了財務危機。
See the light｜豁然開朗、終於理解、想通
為一題解不開的數學題煩惱，就如同迷失在黑暗中，
這時若突然想通，就好像看到了一盞明燈，
英文中，也有類似說法，就是 “see the light”。
除了「終於理解」之意以外，也可以指某人終於想通並接受某事物。
【例句】
After the third explanation, she finally saw the light and understood the math problem.
經過三番解釋，她終於豁然開朗，理解那道數學題目了。
He didn’t want to go to the gym at first but finally saw the light after realizing the fact that he was getting weaker.
他一開始並不想上健身房，但意識到自己肌力越來越弱後，終於想通了。
See eye to eye｜同意、看法一致
“See eye to eye” 直譯是「眼睛對看眼睛」，
指和某人看法、意見一致，不過比較常用在否定句。
後面以 “with” 接上「和誰」意見一致；以 “on” 接上「在什麼話題」意見一致。
【例句】
I rarely see eye to eye with John on political issues.
我和 John 對於政治議題的看法總是不相同。
See to it that…｜確保
“See to it that…” 其實就是 “make sure”、 “ensure” 更正式的說法，指「確保某事發生」。
【例句】
Please see to it that all the reports are finalized before you leave today.
今天離開之前，請確保所有報告都已完成定案。
See fit (to V)｜認為有必要、有好處
“Fit” 指「適合」，而 “see” 除「看」之意，也有「覺得」的意思，
所以 “see fit to do something” 指「認為做某事是適當的」，
翻成更順的中文就是「認為某事有必要」、「有好處」。
【例句】
The company doesn't see fit to give us a raise this year.
公司認為今年沒必要給我們加薪。
See where someone’s coming from｜理解某人的觀點
這個片語直譯是「知道某人來自哪裡」，但其實是指「理解某人觀點」。
可以想像，若你知道對方處境、出身，應該更能體會其為何有該價值觀。
（在地化一點的翻譯就是：我懂你的明白！）
【例句】
I see where you’re coming from. But unfortunately, I still can’t accept your plan because it’s just too risky.
我知道你的意思。但很遺憾我還是無法接受你的提案，因為風險就是太高了。
See someone｜和人曖昧中
當朋友要跟你八卦說 “He is seeing someone”，
並不一定是指「要見面」，而可能是「和某人曖昧中」！
不過，當和別人曖昧中，也應該會「常常見面」（吧？），所以也可以這樣記！
【例句】
I hear that Sarah is seeing someone from her office. No wonder she seems to be extra happy these days.
我聽說 Sarah 在和辦公室的人曖昧中。難怪她這幾天看起來特別開心。
